Every report can be exported on the spot to three formats and, if you need it, you can set up a scheduled delivery so it gets generated and sent automatically by email or SFTP.

Formats

  • CSV: text file compatible with Excel and Google Sheets. It preserves accents and special characters, and neutralizes content that could run as a formula when the file is opened.
  • Excel (.xlsx): spreadsheet with headers and rows.
  • PDF: table with the report title, ready to print or share.

Manual export

From the report detail you download the result by choosing the format: CSV, Excel or PDF. The download is authenticated and the file is delivered as an attachment. If a format other than the three supported ones is requested, the export returns an error.

Scheduled delivery

Each report definition can have a scheduled delivery. When you configure it you define:
  • Frequency and time: daily, weekly (choosing the day of the week) or monthly (choosing a day between the 1st and the 28th), plus the delivery time.
  • Output format: PDF, Excel or CSV.
  • Destination: email or SFTP.
The scheduler checks every 15 minutes which deliveries are due based on the configured day and time. Each trigger delivers the file only once, and if the service was not available at the scheduled time, the missed run is recovered as soon as it comes back online. When the report is generated, whoever created it receives a notification inside the platform.

Email destination

You define the list of recipients. On each run, each recipient receives an email with the subject Report: <report name> and the file attached in the chosen format.

SFTP destination

You choose a saved SFTP connection of the company or create one on the spot. On each run the file is uploaded to the remote directory configured in the connection. For details on SFTP connections and other scheduled data deliveries, see Scheduled exports.
