A scheduled delivery periodically runs a report created in the report builder and sends the resulting file to its destination, with no manual intervention. The delivered file contains the columns of the report that feeds the delivery: the dimensions and the measures, with the aliases defined in the builder.

Configuration

The delivery is configured from the report’s delivery panel, choosing:
  • Frequency: daily, weekly (you pick the day of the week), or monthly (you pick a day between the 1st and the 28th).
  • Time of the delivery.
  • Format: CSV, Excel (.xlsx), or PDF.
  • Destination: email or SFTP.
The report’s date cutoffs use the time zone configured in the company, with America/Santiago by default.

Email destination

  • You define the list of recipients for the delivery.
  • On each run, the recipients receive the file as an attachment in the email.
  • Whoever created the delivery also receives an in-app notification when the report is ready.

SFTP destination

SFTP connections are managed per company and are reused across reports. You can create a connection from the delivery panel itself by specifying:
  • Name of the connection.
  • Host and port (22 by default).
  • User and password.
  • Remote directory where the file is deposited.
The password is encrypted at rest and is never shown again. Connection listings do not include the credential. Connections can be listed, created, and deleted.

Execution

  • The scheduler reviews the deliveries every 15 minutes and runs the ones that are due according to their frequency and time.
  • Each trigger generates a single delivery. A run that has already been performed is not repeated.
  • If the service was down at the scheduled time, once it recovers it runs a single missed run.
