The 4 journey stages
Each stage is independent: you enable or disable it and adjust its timing, channel and message
from the configuration in woku. Responses arrive like any other review or survey: they feed your
metrics, alerts and reports.
The delivery stage needs a delivery signal. Today that signal comes from the Skydropx
shipping connector. Skydropx is connected from Company → Integrations → Skydropx (one account
per country) and woku correlates each delivery with the Shopify order automatically. If your
store has no delivery source connected, the delivery stage does not fire and the post-sale
runs anyway using a cap counted from the purchase (see “Cap days without delivery” below).
How it works
- The buyer pays for an order in your store. Shopify notifies woku that the order is paid and the journey starts.
- Purchase: woku sends a satisfaction survey (CSAT) about the purchase.
- Delivery: when the order is delivered, woku sends a review about the delivery experience. If the delivery signal does not arrive within the cap, this stage is skipped.
- Post-sale: a few days after delivery (or the cap), woku invites the buyer to evaluate that order’s products.
- Loyalty: a few days after the post-sale invitation was sent, woku sends an NPS survey.
- In each stage woku invites over WhatsApp and, if there is no response, escalates to email; once the buyer responds, that stage’s reminders stop.
How to connect your store
The connector is not published on the Shopify App Store: you do not install it by searching for it
there. The only way to connect it is from woku, as described below.
1
Start the connection from woku
In Company → Integrations → Shopify, enter your store domain (for example
mystore.myshopify.com) and press Continue to Shopify.2
Authorize in Shopify
Shopify shows you the authorization screen with the permissions the connector uses: read
orders, products and customers. When you authorize, it redirects you back to
admin.woku.app.
3
Connect the store to your company
woku detects the pending install and shows the Shopify store detected notice with your
store domain. Press Connect to link it. At that moment woku registers the subscription to
paid orders and the integration is active.
What you configure in woku
Once the store is connected, in Company → Integrations → Shopify you configure two things: the connection settings (shared across the whole journey) and the post-purchase journey (stage by stage).Connection settings
The post-purchase journey
In Post-purchase journey you see one card per stage (purchase, delivery, post-sale and loyalty). On each one you can:- Enable or disable the stage.
- Adjust the timing: the stage’s delay in days (for example, how many days after delivery the post-sale is sent).
- Choose the channel: WhatsApp then email, or email only.
- Edit the invitation message in Spanish and English. If you leave it empty, woku uses a default text.
- Upload your own image for the stages that show one (delivery and post-sale). If you upload none, woku uses your company logo.
On that same delivery stage, woku shows the delivery source: the connected Skydropx
account(s). With a single account woku uses it directly; if you operate in more than one country
(for example Colombia and Mexico, each with its own connection), you pick there which ones feed
this store’s delivery. In Shopify the correlation is automatic: the Skydropx-Shopify app
identifies the order, so you configure nothing else.
The journey definition is yours: once you save your changes, woku stops overwriting it with the
default values. You can adjust it again whenever you want.
The buyer’s experience
If the order carries a phone, before sending the invitation woku registers the buyer as a
customer of your company (and, if the order also carries an email, links the phone to that
email’s customer). This way, when the buyer replies over WhatsApp, woku recognizes them
immediately without asking for their email, and their responses stay tied to their customer
history.
Cadence of each stage
In each active stage woku invites the buyer with this sequence:- Up to 3 sends: the first when the stage fires, and reminders at 8 hours and 16 hours if there is no response.
- With the WhatsApp then email channel, the first two sends go over WhatsApp (if there is a phone) and the third escalates to email. With the email only channel, all go by email.
- If the order has no phone, all sends go by email. If a WhatsApp send cannot go out, woku uses email as a fallback for that attempt.
- As soon as the buyer responds, that stage’s reminders stop.
- If there is no response after 24 hours, that stage’s invitation expires and woku does not insist further.
woku sends one invitation at a time per buyer within each stage. If the same customer has
several orders in progress, invitations are queued and sent sequentially instead of arriving all at
once.
The post-sale stage (products)
The post-sale evaluates that order’s products:- If the order has a single product, woku creates a review of that product.
- If it has more than one distinct product, woku groups the evaluations into a Flow (a single invitation that walks through all the products), sent by email.
- The instrument is tagged with the order, the store and the product, so you can filter and group by any of those axes.
What order data woku uses
To create and send the evaluations, woku queries the order in Shopify and uses:- Order identification: number and identifier, to tie each evaluation to its order (they become
queryable trackers in woku:
shopify_order_id,shopify_shop_domainandshopify_product_id). - Buyer contact: the email and phone tied to the order and its addresses. If the order carries no direct contact, woku uses the one from the buyer’s profile in the store, hence the customer read permission. The phone is normalized to international format for WhatsApp.
- Purchased products: name, image (the purchased variant’s, or otherwise the product’s featured image), collection and product type, to create the product evaluations and organize them into folders.
- Store time zone, to respect the send window of the scheduled stages.

What if I have no delivery source connected?
What if I have no delivery source connected?
The delivery stage does not fire, but the journey does not stop: the post-sale is sent
anyway once the Cap days without delivery window passes (20 days from the purchase by
default). When you connect a delivery source, the post-sale will be counted from the real
delivery.
How do I disconnect my store?
How do I disconnect my store?
You have two paths and both remove the connection and its credentials:
- In woku: Company → Integrations → Shopify → Disconnect.
- In Shopify: uninstall the app from your store admin. Shopify notifies woku and the connection is removed automatically.
Can I reconnect my store after disconnecting it?
Can I reconnect my store after disconnecting it?
Yes. Repeat the connection flow from Company → Integrations → Shopify entering your store
domain. The existing folders and wokus are reused: new orders add to where they were.
What happens with orders that have no phone?
What happens with orders that have no phone?
All sends for that order go by email, including reminders. WhatsApp is only used when the
order has a usable phone.
Can an invitation be duplicated for the same order?
Can an invitation be duplicated for the same order?
No. woku ensures each journey stage fires only once per order, even if Shopify or the
delivery source retry their notification.
How do I test the integration without contacting customers?
How do I test the integration without contacting customers?
Enable Test mode in the configuration: orders still generate their evaluations in woku, but
no invitation is sent. You can also check the integration’s Status section, which shows the
last notification received from Shopify and the last error, if any.
Which language does the buyer's invitation arrive in?
Which language does the buyer's invitation arrive in?
In the language configured in the integration (Spanish or English). Evaluations are created with
content in both languages, so the buyer can switch language when responding.
