Add woku’s MCP server to claude.ai, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, OpenCode, or another MCP client and approve access from your account
Add woku as a custom connector in Claude or a custom plugin in ChatGPT. Set it up in your assistant: enter the server URL, sign in to woku, and choose the company to connect. You do not need to create or copy an API key.The only URL you need is:
Claude Free allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner must first add it under Organization settings → Connectors; each member then connects their own woku account.
1
Open custom connectors
In claude.ai, open Customize → Connectors. Click Add → Add custom connector.
Claude: add a custom connector
2
Enter woku's URL
Enter woku in Name and https://api.woku.app/mcp in MCP server URL. Click Continue.
Claude: MCP server name and URL
3
Confirm authentication
On the second step, keep Sign in now and Register automatically selected. Claude registers the OAuth client through DCR; you do not need to create a Client ID or Client Secret. Click Add.
Claude: OAuth with automatic registration
4
Authorize the company
Open woku in your connectors and click Connect. Sign in to woku if needed. On admin.woku.app, select the company Claude may access, review the permissions, and click Authorize. The screenshot uses the woku company as an example; select yours.
woku: authorize Claude for one company
5
Enable woku and check the connection
In a new chat, open + → Connectors and check that woku is enabled. If Claude asks to use a read tool, review the request and choose Allow once.
Claude: woku enabled in the chat
Try: “Use the woku connector and its get_company tool to tell me only the connected company’s name. Do not modify any data.” The response should name the company you authorized.
claude mcp add --transport http woku https://api.woku.app/mcp
Then, inside Claude Code, run /mcp, select woku, and complete the authentication in the browser.
Set this up in ChatGPT in a web browser. You need access to developer mode; a workspace administrator may restrict custom plugins.
1
Enable developer mode
Open your profile menu and go to Settings → Security and login. Find Developer mode and turn on the toggle. The screenshots show it off at the start, then on.
ChatGPT: open Settings from your profile

ChatGPT: developer mode turned on
2
Start creating an MCP app
Close Settings and open Plugins in the sidebar, or go to chatgpt.com/plugins. Click + → Create app. If you see a file upload window, choose Create MCP App. You do not need to upload a package.
ChatGPT: Create app in the plus menu

3
Configure woku and OAuth
Fill in the form:
Field
Value
Name
woku
Connection
Server URL: https://api.woku.app/mcp
Authentication
OAuth
The icon and description are optional. Open Advanced OAuth settings and confirm Registration method is Dynamic Client Registration (DCR). Review the mcp:read and mcp:write scopes: the first allows queries, and the second allows write actions. woku registers the client automatically, so you do not need to paste a Client ID or Client Secret. Check I understand and want to continue, then click Create.

4
Install the app
Under Plugins → Personal → Created by me, open woku and click Install plugin. Creating the app and adding it to your ChatGPT are separate steps. If the name already exists, find the app you created under Created by me before trying to duplicate it.
ChatGPT: install the app you created
5
Connect woku in a conversation
Open a new chat. Type @woku and select the app from the list. Send: “Use the woku plugin and its get_company tool to tell me only the connected company’s name. Do not modify any data.”
ChatGPT: select woku in a new conversation
The first time, ChatGPT will prompt you to Connect, then Sign in with woku.

6
Authorize one company and check the result
On admin.woku.app, select the company ChatGPT may query, review the permissions, and click Authorize. The screenshot selects the woku company as an example. Back in the chat, check that the tool returned the company you selected.
Codex uses woku’s OAuth automatically (auth = "oauth" by default). The first time, complete the authentication in the browser when Codex prompts for it.
OpenCode handles woku’s OAuth automatically (dynamic client registration). If you need to start the authentication manually, run opencode mcp auth woku.
Each MCP authorization is associated with a single company. This guide selects woku as an example; choose the company that owns your data. Authorize another connection separately if you need to use a different company.
Add custom connector is missing in Claude: check custom connector access. On Team and Enterprise, ask an owner to add woku for the organization.
Developer mode or the + button in Plugins is missing: check your ChatGPT plan, use the web version, and ask your workspace administrator whether custom plugins are allowed.
woku is connected, but the assistant does not use it: enable it in Claude or select it with @woku in ChatGPT, then repeat the get_company test.
The response shows a different company: disconnect woku in the assistant and authorize it again with the correct company.
Queries work, but changes fail: check whether you granted mcp:write. Reconnect and approve that permission if you need to create or edit data.
To understand what the agent can do once connected, see the available tools. For the authentication and security detail, see the MCP server.
