# Emails from woku

> Choose whether to receive woku's product updates and content by email and how to unsubscribe

Besides the notices of your account, woku can send you two kinds of email:

* **Product updates**: what is new in woku, every two weeks when there are changes.
* **Content**: ideas, guides and invitations, at most once a week, only while you are not on a paid plan.

In total, never more than six emails a month.

## How you choose

The last thing you told us counts:

* **When you create your account**, the sign-up page has the box **"I want to receive woku product updates and content by email."**, ticked. If you untick it, we do not write to you, even if you said yes on woku.app before. The box also counts when you sign up with the Google button.
* **If you sign in with Google or SSO without that box**, we use what you answered on woku.app with the same email. If you never answered, you are subscribed, like every woku account, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
* **On woku.app**, if you tick the box of a form, we send you an email to confirm it. Until you confirm it we do not write to you.

## Change your choice

In your profile, **Account → Emails from woku**, the switch **"Receive woku product updates and content"** turns both kinds of email on or off.

Each email also has a link to unsubscribe from that kind only. If you unsubscribe from both, the switch turns off. If you later turn it back on, you receive both again.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The notices of your account (confirming your email, recovering your password, alerts and reports you set up) do not depend on this choice.
